LF-3000 Xytronic Lead Free Soldering Station

The LF-3000 incorporates electronic circuitry which enables the user to alter tip temperature from 100°C to 520°C without changing tips or heating elements. The temperature is maintained within ±3°C of it’s operating temperature by a thermocouple sensor placed in the head of the heating element allowing the tip to rest against the sensor. The LF-3000 soldering station’s 90W power capability results in both a rapid heat-up and super fast recovery.

The revolutionary “Zero Voltage” electronic switching design also protects voltage and current sensitive components (CMOS devices etc.) against damaging current and transient voltage spikes commonly produced by less efficient, mechanically switched stations. The power unit is isolated from the A.C. line by a transformer and allows only 36Vac to drive the heating element. The temperature “Lock-out” feature by “password” is convenient for production management. The many features of the LF-3000 soldering station make it the ideal tool for service and repair technicians as well as production line operations. This unit is developed to meet the present and future lead free soldering needs of the electronic production industry and is ideal for use at any AC outlet.

Japanese Made Soldering Tips: All Xytronic tips are Japanese made and tinned with lead free solder. The tips designated as lead free have more plating to withstand the higher temperature for today's soldering applications.

Flux is an integral part of the soldering process to prepare the work surface. Composed of rosin-resin and mixed with an activator (halogen organic agent) that, as the temperature increases, generate noxious components such as salicylic acid and pinene commonly seen as smoke rising from the work area.
High content ratios of resin generate phinol (C₆H₅OH) and the activators can emit hydrogen chloride (HCL) and other compounds. The US Government has occupational hazard standards controlling the permissible amounts of such compounds in the work area and the 426DLX fume extractor when used properly, helps to meet these standards.

The 426DLX fume extractor offers a convenient and space saving method of removing noxious fumes from the work environment. Designed for use on the factory floor, in R&D or by the hobbyist, this product provides an economical and efficient method to improve the work place by eliminating headaches, nausea and eye irritations often associated with exposure to solder fumes.

426DLX was developed with a high performance fan and an easy to replace activated carbon filter.The filter is made by joining specific foam with refined activated carbon. The activated carbon has a surface area of 1250 m square/gram and the total weight of the filter is 500 grams/meter square. The dust collection efficiency of the filter is 30% while the carbon filter can absorb up to 30% of its carbon weight in noxious components. in stock
